I tried out ATI proprietary drivers, turns out they suck™ (I've never seen such buggy antialiasing before), so I wanted to remove them. I did this:

yum remove akmod-catalyst xorg-x11-drv-cata*
yum reinstall mesa-libGL

After reboot I'm stuck on splash screen.

EDIT: I removed /etc/X11/xorg.conf using live usb. Now it boots but it is SO SLOW (+50% CPU usage when idle)

Same here! I tried reinstalling mesa-* xorg-x11-server* xorg-x11-drv-intel* packages. To no avail. I also tried updating my Intel driver using the official driver installer. Still unusable desktop performance.
