Hi all.

I have noted, when i start the computer with just the batery (not ac conected)the Fedora doesn't start, the grub shows the options, after the time (3 secs) the selected kernel tries to start up, bue the system doesn't continue booting and it stops there.

I can edit the grub there and when i make ls, i show some like this:

error: failure reading sector 0xfc from 'hd1' error: failure reading sector 0xe0 from 'hd1'

The computer is an asus a45V, pentium 5 third generation, hard disk 750 gb hitachi, 8 gb ram.

Thanks for helping.

This sounds like a hardware issue - perhaps there isn't enough power available because of a degraded battery, or perhaps the drive itself is failing.
