The problem is - i rewrote my windows and tried to format the partition Fedora was in. But installer did not allow it so i just cleared out Grub. Now i want to format Fedora partition, Win disk manager sees it as free space, but when i try to format it, gives an error message with "Not enough space".

Anyone has face it?

Think than the problems is than Windows don´t reconoce the ext file system, maybe you can try with Gparted to aply a new file system to the Fedora partition from ext to NTFS, so Windows will detect this partition later.

Can you remove the partition rather than format it? I have a number of times removed a partition and then used the disk manager to extend the windows partition into the free drive space.

I think you must fix windows MBR first and then you can format the Linux partitions. You can use fixmbr.exe or fdisk /mbr to do so.

That would be an option, my drive manager already sees the Fedora partition as free space, but is not able to do anything with it

Delete the partition and then add it back. It should work
