Touch Screen not detected whatsoever

I just bought a Winbook TW102 (Intel Cherrytrail Tablet with Keyboard Dock) from MicroCenter. If you format the internal storage and install Fedora, remarkably it works better than doing the same for Windows 10 on this device. Only two hardware devices don't work right, and my goal right now is the bigger of the two, the touch screen. However, I have pretty much no experience troubleshooting drivers so I'm learning as I go.

The touchscreen does not react to any inputs at all. If I run "xinput list", I get the following:

⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)] ⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ xwayland-pointer:16 id=6 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ xwayland-relative-pointer:16 id=7 [slave pointer (2)] ⎣ Virtual core keyboard id=3 [master keyboard (2)] ↳ Virtual core XTEST keyboard id=5 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ xwayland-keyboard:16 id=8 [slave keyboard (3)]

form this list, I tried the "xinput test <id>" command on all the pointers. the first two pointers did not react to any input devices I could think of on the tablet.

the "xwayland-relative-pointer:16" did respond to my inputs, but it's the dinky lil trackpad on the keyboard dock.

I think this touch screen is not recognize.d at all by the linux kernel. What else can I do to troubleshoot this? I'd like to learn more and possibly even contribute to Linux to get this working.
