Networking keeps dropping out after most recent updates f29

Clean install of f29 on my ASUS S400CA Notebook and all was well for a day or so (as previously with f28, 27 and so on back) until I ran the obligatory dnf upgrade routine and now my networking keeps losing connectivity. I cannot think of anything else to blame but for that.

Specifically, my wi-fi connection which is all I ordinarily use and when working with Firefox but, seemingly not the wi-fi link to the router itself, just the ability to route traffic. Turning the adaptor on and off clears the issue temporarily for a few minutes and only takes seconds to accomplish but is a PITA. Any suggestions?

BUMP: This is a PITA!

Removed Firefox (and deleted .mozilla folder), issue still present. Swapped from wifi contection to local LAN to wired ethernet and issues goes away. Now I am tethered for the time being.

Issue persists with default install of f29 (original description of issue overlooked this) Clean install of f28 resolves the issue. Note by comparison that on f29 the wifi light on my laptop never lights up and works correctly on f28 after dnf upgrade. I have reverted to f28 and am peeved I cannot build kernel modules for VirtualBox after dnf upgrade due to an gcc incompatibe version that is not resolved with downgrade.

dmesg output (after losing connectivity I fn+f2 a couple of time to reset):

As I mentioned, I have given these suggestions a try. Without more to go on, I will re-install f29 and see if proven that the issue does not exist else revert to f28 and importantly push it to the community to be resolved.

Clean install of f29 so far no issue. One difference, did not connect to wifi on livesystem pre-install.

The issue is apparent with more than 18-20 tabs open in Firefox on f29 even if not all of them are loaded (I restore previous session). I have the Grammarly plug-in installed. So far, no other factors have been identified that make any difference, even if I have other software running that accesses the internet it is a)affected by the issue and b) does not seem to give cause.

Note: Nope, seems to be just the number of the connections on the netAwork, can replicate without Firefox running if there are many active connections to the network. Was never ever an issue before.

You should be careful when posting memory dumps on the web. It could contain your password or some other sensitive data.

I believe there were some recent firmware updates including for wifi chips. You may want to try downgrading as a test.

dnf downgrade [package]

Any way to get more info than:

24 | upgrade | 2019-03-03 20:52 | I, O, U | 716 >E

I am manually checking dnf list installed for anything interesting..

Tried both dnf downgrade iw* and separately dnf downgrade NetworkManager-wifi.x86_64 and dependencies, neither resolved..
