Hello, The weather widget in LXDE stopped working in January 2019 because Yahoo closed it's API. Are there any alternatives? Do you plan to implement new weather application? It was very useful. I'm using Fedora 29 Workstation, fully updated.

package name "gnome-weather" BUT... with F28 it just works on Gnome, before it, it worked on cinnamon and other desktops too. No idea if it is working in F29 again.

It was disappointing to lose such an excellent panel applet in the LXDE. An alternative I use is the cairo-dock. The weather widget, and many others, are available for the dock or as a desktop widget as in KDE/Plasma. With the various themes and configurations, you may decide to remove all LXDE panels. A simple alternative, with no downloads necessary, is to invoke "curl -s wttr.in/LOCATION # Default 3-day forcast" where LOCATION is ... if in the US, a zipcode is all that is necessary. Also, enter "http://wttr.in/" in the browser Midori.
