I have a Dell laptop (Ispirion 7559, Windows 10) and I've been trying to install Fedora Workstation 29 to the usb flash drive. It's for class only. I need to get Linux working so that I can do my lab assignments on it.

Everything went fine in the installation process. However, once it's been installed, the usb drive disappears, it doesn't show up as a drive onscreen, so I cannot access the flash drive. What did I do wrong? Can it be fixed?

Thank you very much, Dan

Here is update on my problem.

I suspected the problem was with the BIOS and that I must boot from USB drive to enter Fedora. I updated the system BIOS and tapped F12 to boot from the USB. A success, I clicked on test this media and start Fedora.

Apparently there is a glitch with switcheroo control. An error check appears and says that I must check the systemct1 status switcheroo-control.exe.

Right now there is a blank screen, nothing works at all. I might have to boot again
