When I attempt to add my networked brother HL3040 printer I get a message Nieuwe printer toevoegen mislukt.

How do I add a printer to F29?

Windows and Mac are easy. Do I want to know what lpr or cups is? Do i download them both? Source codes sound great.

cups install like that it is input in terminal command

 # dnf install cups
 # systemctl enable cups
 # systemctl start cups

If I had not blinked I would have missed that message. Who wrote this software? Can I (like Richard Stalmann wants) change it? tell me how and where.
