Hello. I’ve installed ScanGear MP v3.30 from this website, but Simple Scan refuses to pick up the G3000; all it recognizes is my webcam. I’ve also installed the printer drivers from the same website, and printing is working just fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe those are just drivers for the printer side. Why not contacting directly the author of the driver? And, the driver is 3 years old already. It will hardly work on a modern distribution, I'm afraid.
