F29 - I use a 10-bit monitor and an 8-bit monitor. Yet xwininfo shows a depth of 24 i.e 8bpp only. How do I set a monitor to use RGB10 or depth of 30?

Googled a bit but I dont see anything practical.

Its a ravenridge ryzen 2400g using amdgpu drivers ... Windows 10 AMD Adrenalin drivers are set to use 10bits on the same machine. 10-bit is critical for my video/photo editing work - Another reason paying for a Win 10 license feels totally justified.

Unfortunately the same set of links keep throwing up on google search results but nothing specific to Wayland and how to configure drm or amdgpu to use 10-bit color. Typically we pay a premium of +$250 for a 10-bit monitor over an above a standard monitor but support for it under linux seems to be unusable at this point.

As you didn't specify the video card, I assume it's an intel integrated video. So you're out of luck.
