So I mounted several shares from my Synology NAS under /mnt/share with cifs. If I delete now a file the file is deleted directly. There is no .trash folder created and no files are visible in the trash bin. Also when I activate a trash bin on the Synology server and delete files they are not appearing their neither.

Beforehand under Ubuntu I had the shares mounted in ~/ via fstab. Maybe this is the reason. The behavior was there the following. Deleting a file causes the creation of the .trash folder and the deleted file is moved there. If i go to the trash bin the files are listed there. If I empty the trash, the files are deleted from .trash and the NAS writes the to its recycle folder.

I don't neccessarily need the Synology recycle bin, but the .trash was always handy.

When I try to do:

gio trash /mnt/share/delete-me/

I get the response "Trashing on system internal mounts is not supported". Do I have to mount the Shares somewhere else?
