One important question: did you uninstall or disable one set of repositories before using the other? I ask because I've heard of many problems caused by incompatible packages if you try to use both of them. I don't know if it's a factor, here, but it's a possible cause of trouble to check for.

I have exactly the same issue.. except on Fedora 29. There is no run.sh anywhere in the steam installation. Also don't know why it's using ubuntu directory. Did you ever find a solution to this?

Did you check if this directory and file exists?

/home/fedosix/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/run.sh

Well, of course it doesn't; you're not using Ubuntu. Go to /home/fedosix/.local/share/Steam and see what's there and you'll probably find a folder with fedora in its name, and that's what you're looking for.

It exists on my system. Some of the directories are symlinked somewhere. I'm not at my Steam PC currently, but can check it up later. But you should be able to search for run.sh and create a symlink such that ubuntu12_32 points to that directory.

@sideburns. There is no official Fedora variant of Steam. The linux steam is created for a Debian/Ubuntu based distro by Valve. It is just repackaged for other distros. That is why there are references to Ubuntu in file and directory names.

On my system, /home/<user>/.local/share/Steam is a symlink to /home/<user>/Steam. And I do have the path and file /home/<user>/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/run.sh (obviously I have also the one in /home/<user>/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/).

If you don't have the Steam directory within .local/share, please create the symlink. You can do it with the following command:

ln -s /home/fedosix/Steam /home/fedosix/.local/share/Steam

But please check those paths.
