Can't start using touchpad from right hand side

This is kind of a weird one I guess: I recently installed Fedora 28 on my Asus T200T. It worked pretty well out of the box and just required a bit of faff with wifi. However, the touchpad is behaving a bit strangely.

If I start a gesture from the left hand side of the touch pad, all is well and I can move the cursor however I like. However, if I start a gesture on the right hand side of the touch pad, nothing happens. The cursor doesn't move at all, even if I then move on to the left hand side of the touch pad.

Has anyone encountered any similar problems or have any ideas on how I can fix this?

Maybe your touchpad has enabled edge scrolling and libinput (the software component in question) tries to interpret your gesture as scrolling?
