Hello Everybody,

I just installed Fedora 28 on my Mac mini (late 2012) and I have several "little" questions. I hope you will be able to help me.

I'm able to launch Fedora, but during the boot, the screen spend 30 or 40 seconds with a "black" screen. After that, I obtain a text menu, which remains 2 or 3 seconds, and Fedora starts (in 30 seconds approximatively).

The Airport card doesn't work (I use a Wifi dongle). I have these messages during the boot :

43-phy0 ERROR: You must go to and download the correct firmware for this driver version. Please carefully read all instructions on this website.
b43-phy0 ERROR: Firmware file "b43-open/ucode29_mimo.fw" not found
b43-phy0 ERROR: Firmware file "b43/ucode29_mimo.fw" not found

The bluetooth seems to be fonctionnal, I can appair my mouse, but after rebooting, my mouse doesn't work anymore. I have this message during the boot :

Bluetooth: hci0: last event is not cmd complete

4/Two other messages during the boot (maybe usefull for the other problems)

ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed \_PR.CPU0._PDC, AE_AML_OPERAND_TYPE (20180105/psparse-550)
ACPI Error: AE_AML_OPERAND_TYPE, While resolving operands for [OpcodeName unavailable] (20180105/dswexec-461)
ACPI Error: Needed type [Reference], found [Integer] 00000000190f91b6 (20180105/exresop-103)

DMAR-IR: [Firmware Bug]: ioapic 2 has no mapping iommu, interrupt remapping will be disabled

Thanks a lot !

The code block (101010 button, indenting code by four spaces) will increase readability. I've edited your text for that.

1/Boot That's the system BIOS/UEFI, i.e. the mainboard firmware. Try getting a BIOS update.

2/WifiFollow the steps on that website. Also, may help.

3/Bluetooth No idea. Looks like a bug in bluetooth chip/firmware or the firmware client (the mouse).

4/Other messages All of these are Firmware bugs. You may try installing a BIOS update. Otherwise there is nothing you can do about it.
