My "new" (3 months old) Lenovo Legion Y520 laptop completly died during Fedora 28 update. Laptop was plugged in and as usual first thing i always do was run "sudo dnf update -y". Among others it upgraded kernel (date of update 1.9.2018) and when it started listing "removing ... " laptop simply died and now i cant get anything out of it.

Searched through Lenovo forums, looked at suggestions but nothing that would even produce a whisper from laptop. It is simply dead... It simply won't power on, no matter what.

@nisankh: One does not need to repeat that 10 times.

This is meant to clear CMOS of some chips.
