This is not a newer Problem I've seen this before in my everyday use of the site:

We can see in the Approbal Queue tree part :

  1. 2 edit with Ip address sometimes one edit with IP
  2. other edit with and Ip address I think this is the original and the item we have to approve

as we can see in this screenshot : image description

When we Aprove this element, we obtain this result as we can see in this screenshot :image description

if we approve the element that have got and IP and decline the other two with IP, in this way we can handle this situation.

This is something that we can handle as soon as posible.

I ignore the IP addresses because they're all non-routable. Normally, I reject all but the first copy, but will make an exception if a later one is better. The big problem is that new users aren't warned about moderation and think that their post didn't get through. What we need is a warning that has to be clicked off telling the user that their post is waiting for moderation and will show up as soon as a moderator can get to it.

I have not seen the administrators around in a while, so as far as I am aware, this site is fairly unmaintained. This is a good point and would make fellow moderators' jobs a lot easier.

I think we could implement a cooldown time on posting questions as I see a lot of users posting multiple times, not seeing their post on the front page. That's an option as well.

I think we need to submit a report to Askbot about this (this could even be fixed in newer versions of it that have not been implemented into AskFedora). Do any of you have ideas of how to do that?

Possibly, but I think the admins have to update the AskBot version themselves (not sure though) and we don't have the access for that.

the author of askbot is the admin/hoster of this site. but of course, first issues have to be reported (and fixed).
