I did recently updated fedora 28. At the time booting, I saw 'nvme registration failed'. Neither I see on fedora 27 nor on fedora 28 til lately. I browsed online about nvme but the results we're not that much promising. Would you tell me what is nvme and the problem I'm facing?

Appreciate your help.

Great day.

That's a bug which came with the upgrade to kernel 4.17.2.
It will most probably be resolved with kernel release 4.17.3.

In the latest release of 4.17.3 nvmem registration failed is sorted out. I did update this morning. And I didn't see the error.

Please go update your systems.

I'm in 4.17.3 and I still get the error. Was not fixed in 4.17.3

You have installed .3 and rebooted, right? If that’s the case you should open a new bug or at least comment in the previous bug report

Same problem here. Fedora (or KDE?) completely freezed when I tried to move around Google map on Firefox. After forcing it to shut down, I tried the second time and the problem persist while I move around on Google map.

The third attempt with kernel 4.16 ended up no problem.

There's a bug and it's being tested. It'll be fixed. You said that you made an attempt with kernel 4.16 and there wasn't any problem. Stick with it for a while. When the bug is tested, you can enjoy surfing on the Internet and do amazing things.

Have a great day.

This sound like a different problem. I also get the "nvmem registration failed" message, but everything works including Google Maps.

I also get this error in dmesg using kernel 4.17.2 on Fedora 28.

do not post comments as answers, it misleads people into thinking you are trying to solve the problem.
