Did you install epson-inkjet-printer-escpr? It's in Fedora.

I installed the epson-inkjet-printer-escpr package, but does not recognize it and install a generic driver, thanks

How about manually configuring it? localhost:631 for CUPS web interface.

Thx,fcomida. I was struggling with my Epson Printer. I could add it, but lots of settings where not working. Configuring it over the browser did the trick.

I was facing a similar issue with WF-2750:

You wiil find in my post some help to configure your printer.

EDIT: As suggested by fcomida, the better solution is to choose the fedora hosted package which automatically deploy filter and ppd files in the right place. Then you should be able to manually configure the printer, using appropriate PPD file in /usr/share/ppd/Epson/epson-inkjet-printer-escpr.

sudo dnf remove epson-inkjet-printer-escpr
sudo dnf install epson-inkjet-printer-escpr
sudo systemctl restart cups

# if driver not automatically found you can manually select it (if it also failed you can runned gunzip before select it)
sudo gunzip /usr/share/ppd/Epson/epson-inkjet-printer-escpr/Epson-WF-2750_Series-epson-escpr-en.ppd.gz

epson-inkjet-printer-escpr in Fedora is the same from Epson, README included, just repackaged and hosted by Fedora.

Thx good to know! Do you know if after installing this kind of package, there are common manual operations to perform like copy/link files to cups directories?

No to my knowlege. After installing the package you have to add a printer either using your DE printing configuration utility or from CUPS web interface. CUPS most of the time is able to detect the printer and assign a proper driver to it, otherwise do it manually picking the right one from the list of installed drivers.

Some files were missing. I have updated my own topic with full detail. Thank you very much for your help.

@srjio I have an Epson XP 432 and its ppd driver is zipped: /usr/share/ppd/Epson/epson-inkjet-printer-escpr/Epson-XP-432_435_Series-epson-escpr-en.ppd.gz. I installed it long ago without any problem (it was automatically recognized). I do not understand why you had to unzip the ppd for your model. Anyway I'm glad it's now working.
