Not a question: Ask Fedora moving to be hosted by Askbot developer

You may remember this discussion about the future of Ask Fedora from a little over a year ago. One response to that came from Askbot developer Evgeny Fadeev, offering to make some improvements.

So, we're going to try that. :) Evgeny is going to host the site for us (Red Hat is sponsoring the hosting fees), keep it up to date, etc., and even do a small amount of ongoing development to improve the tool for the Fedora community.

What will this look like? What will change? It should just look like the site getting more attention, the software kept up to date, and features improving . We will be migrating all of the existing data, user accounts, etc., and keeping the URL.

We haven't worked out exactly what the further development will entail, but let's keep our Askbot feature wishlist up to date, so that can feed the effort.

Please feel free to ask further questions about this below and I'll try to answer in comments.

Any ideas what the time line is on this?

Great to see Ask Fedora updated, big thanks to everybody involved!

If someone has some issues with voting or posting, remove cookies for and log-back-in - it solved my problems.

Voting and posting works, let's check editing.

Editing and reposting answer as comment also works.

"Minor edit" checkbox was missing when I was editing question, though it was right after posting. I'll use it right now so there should be one notification about posting the answer, one for previous edit, none for current edit and maybe one for reposting answer as comment.

Thanks a lot everybody who made this possible. My first impression is that the site is much more responsive - that's great.

Where would be the appropriate place to report bugs?

I'm a moderator and was unable to moderate and my comments vanished. Then I saw the comment here about logging out, clearing the site's cookies and logging in. Now I can moderate again.

I can't repost comment as an answer e.g. in here (to make cookies-deletion suggestion stand out more) or in there.

PS Deleting cookies will log you out, so (probably) there's no need to logout manually.
