I just ordered a edu version of the T480 which comes with a mx150. Having used Thinkpads in the past without dedicated gpu I was not worried about any issues with the drivers and was always of the opionion that Thinkpads and Linux go hand in hand. Now after reading up on the nvidia issues with Linux I was wondering if Fedora 27 will work and if it has drawbacks to power consumption or if it has the capability of deactivating the mx150 (which I really just need about 4 times a month to update graphics with Photoshop on Windows). If there are instructions as to changes that have to be made eventually I would greatly appreciate a link. I do no have the Laptop yet but I like to be prepared :)

Thank you very much for your time!
