Attempting to connect my Bose QuietComfort 35 to my Fedora 27 desktop using a USB Bluetooth adapter.

I am able to pair and connect, however, there is something wrong. The headphones immediately say "Call from..." and I constantly hear feedback from the embedded microphone in the headset. Audio quality is poor.

It seems as though the headphones think I am constantly on some call. I'm really not sure how to start debugging this. Any help would be appreciated. Can provide additional info if needed

$ cat /etc/redhat-release Fedora release 27 (Twenty Seven)

$ bluetoothctl --version bluetoothctl: 5.48

I have set ControllerMode = bredr
