After a fresh Fedora install, Nautilus can't find any of my windows network shares on a local network. Trying to connect to them (by either hostname or IP address) will give an "invalid argument" error.

However an another samba server running on a linux computer works just fine. I still don't think that it's a windows configuration problem, as I used to be able to access them before.

I tried troubleshooting it with smbclient, and gio as well:

smbclient gives the following error:

    [fecka@feckalaptop ~]$ smbclient -L //nope-avi -U anonymous -W WORKGROUP
Enter WORKGROUP\anonymous's password:
    Sharename Type Comment
    --------- ---- -------
    ADMIN$ Disk Remote Admin
    C$ Disk Default share
    D$ Disk Default share
    Downloads Disk
    I$ Disk Default share
    IPC$ IPC Remote IPC
    laptopBackup20180313 Disk
    Shared Disk
    SSD Disk
Reconnecting with SMB1 for workgroup listing.
Connection to nope-avi failed (Error NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL)
Failed to connect with SMB1 -- no workgroup available

However gio mount smb://nope-avi/Shared for example will work fine, and will let me access the files properly.

Update: I tried the same in a Lubuntu system in a virtual PC on the same computer, and it worked just fine there, so it's not a network/firewall problem.

Any ideas on why retrieving shares would fail, or any log files I should look into would be greatly appreciated.
