I have 2 HP laptops, one is an older elitebook 8750p and an newer elitebook G3. On both systems after upgrading to 4.15 kernel the display will not show on the attached monitor. The G3 uses the Intel Graphics Card HD GRaphics 520, I'd have to check the graphics card on the 8750 later but I know it's an Intel as well.

Thanks in advance

Same here on a Dell 7470 laptop. When booting the laptop while it's connected to its docking station (and external monitors) I got no display on the external monitors with kernel 4.15.x. With kernel 4.14.x all is fine. (And with kernel 4.12 and 4.13 all was fine, too.)

Similar problem with an old (ancient) Dell 630 laptop. Something changed in the upgrade from 4.14 series kernels to 4.15 series; login fails and I may/may not get a scrambled login screen after the failure. I once briefly saw an error message leading me to think the gnome desktop is crashing. I've managed to keep the last 4.14 kernel installed and the system boots successfully from that. Failure is consistent and repeatable on all fedora 4.15-xx kernels.

Same problem 4.16 series seems to still have this problem. Any fix found?
