I have a dual boot configuration with Fedora 26 and Windows 10. Recently, I had to replace a disk that was used as secondary partition for my Windows installation. Since then, when I boot grub shows the boot selection screen, but when I try to select something via arrow keys, a screen is shown where I can modify boot parameters; as if I hit 'E'.

After I cancel the edit with 'ESC' I am returned to the boot selection screen and can navigate via the arrow keys.

I haven't found anything in my grub.cfg that indicates what causes this behavior.

leaning toward keyboard problem, maybe batteries low, if a wireless keyboard, or were the keyboard drivers on the drive you replace?

Should have mentioned: it's a desktop PC, all input devices are wired and connected via USB. I could try with PS/2
