01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88W8897 [AVASTAR] 802.11ac Wireless

Wifi will randomly disconnect as it seems the network manager will restart or crash. Internet is usable, however this interrupt makes it hard to complete larger projects. I updated to Fedora 27, but then the wifi refused to connect at all (on my stable Fedora 25 kernel it connects on startup without fail, only to break later, normally I restart to fix the connectivity issue, but this has been getting old.) Maybe there's a Marvell Linux Kernel Driver I'm missing? Or maybe something to do with akmod wl, etc. Appreciate any suggestions.

I habve exactly the same issue but with surface pro 4, 88W8897 [AVASTAR] 802.11ac Wireless. Under Windows 10 the wifi is stable. I had the same issue with Ubuntu.

I've got the same problem with my Surface Pro 3 on Fedora 27. Most of the time wifi just doesn't work. Sometimes it suddenly works, if I keep rebooting. The same happens on Arch. On Ubuntu, it works for a short time and then I have to reboot. The frustrating thing is, that everything else works great under Linux, except wifi... which makes a portable device like this unusable.

Does anyone of you solved the issue? I've just installed and I love fedora, but the wireless thing is an issue.
