Having Problems installing Wine

asked 2017-12-17 08:31:36 -0500

Hey Guys,

I got fedora today and tried to install teamspeak and starcraft II. When I tried to get wine with 'dnf install wine' it didn't work an the error that occured was just '- - - - - - - -'. It also said that some packages collided with other ones. Can anybody help?

Need more info, what packages collided? Have you been to winehq.org to see if they have any posted issues with wine?

a whole lot of packages do collide. And what information can I get from winehq.org? I can't copy and paste all the colliding packages, there are too many. Can you let me know, what exact information you need?

To install starcraft 2 you could install it with Lutris. Its way easier to manage this way and you can also get special wine versions which may run starcraft better. See: https://lutris.net/games/starcraft-ii/

You dont need to download the script. Just do the follwoing:

  1. Install the Lutris client on your linux distribution
  2. Make an account and login in the client and on the webseite
  3. Click install on the webseite and follow the steps
  4. Click Play in the Lutris Client
