hi i just tried to install fedora 27 workstation on virtualbox 5.1.30 r118389 and it gets to the end of the install and then crashes, you can do a hard reset and it comes up on the installed os but i dont know if there are missing files, interestingly fedora 26 server installs without any errors. has anyone else had this problem? nedry

Copy the location /etc/yum.repos.d and then dnf install VirtualBox-5.2.
I think virtualbox 5.1 is akmods and dkms compile not support kernels-4.13x.
ok installed virtualbox 5.2.2 r119230 and fedora workstation 27 crashes again on install.
Run for guest os activity crush? or virtualbox itself crush?
You need install extension pack! Visit virtualbox homepage and download extension pack.
