I have downloaded file Fedora-MATECompiz-Live-x8664-26-1.5.iso. I would like to verify its checksum.

$ sha256sum Fedora-MATECompiz-Live-x8664-26-1.5.iso 8fe75d9fdc08ecb47dc921990595e32fe961aa1da6ba630f69ed9b05d0acaa0e Fedora-MATECompiz-Live-x8664-26-1.5.iso

But it turns out that the checksum files available under URL do not include any checksum at all for the so called "spin" distributions, such as MATE-Compiz or KDE. Any idea how to find the required checksums ? Thanks.

I Have the same question. Just downloaded version 29 (MATE-Compiz-Live-x86_x64) and the getting different checksum as compared to the checksum available.

Perhaps that's the drawback of a spin.

Are you sure you compared your image's checksum with appropriate checksums file and not with checksum for F26 release?

sha256sum -c --ignore-missing Fedora-Spins-29-1.2-x86_64-CHECKSUM
Fedora-MATE_Compiz-Live-x86_64-29-1.2.iso: OK

Proper checksums file is available as a link on image's download page and in the same directory you're downloading image from:
