Hello there,

Yesterday I installed Fedora 26 on my Notebook. I couldn't get the touchpad to work. I displayed my input devices using cat /proc/bus/input/devices. There was nothing. Then I thought maybe there's no driver support so I tried lsusb. There Was just HUBs and Bluetooth and the keyboard. In my despair I tried lspci. Not that I thought I'd find it there, unfortunately I felt right about that.

After Google had nothing to say about what touchpad that notebook uses I booted up Windows. In Microsofts device manager it told me it was an I2C HID device. There was another one named "ASUS Precision Touchpad" on top of that I2C HID device.

So I booted back up into Fedora and I did a quick lsmod. There I found "i2c-hid" Kernel Module to be enabled but no devices using it.

Does anyone know whether that touchpad is in the next Fedora Kernel and if not how can I contribute to achieve that goal?

Thanks in advance
