I have a problem. I were partition my harddisk to 200gb for windows and 200gb for fedora. I installed windows there is no problem but i can't install fedora to second partition (actually there is 4 partition for system 500mb, for windows 200gb, recovery partition 1gb and 246 gb for fedora). When i try it says " INSTALLATION OPTIONS Your current Fedora software selection requires 7.89 GiB of Available space, including 4.02 GiB for software and 3.87 GiB for swap space. The disks you've selected have the following amounts of free space.

0 Free space available for use. 0 Free space unavailable but reclaimable from existing partition.

You don't have enough space available to install Fedora. You can shrink or remove existing partitions via our guilded reclaim space tool, or you can adjust partitions on your own in the custom partitioning interface. " and i cant install. And i can see available space 246 gb but i can't.

Please help. Have a nice day

Hi, you didn't have to prepare the partition for Fedora, installer would have created it if you'd left some unallocated space. Now you have to either:

  • remove the 246 GB partition and let installer create partitions (by ticking "I would like to make additional space available" or using manual partitioning here);
  • (if you want Fedora installed on single partition, without separate e.g. /home) format 246 GB partition and choose mount point for it using manual partitioning.

Either way you have to be careful not to remove your Windows files.
