Why is Gnome not saving my network profile?
At one company I work at we need a 801.x authentication to connect to the LAN.
Every time I get to work I need to create a new profile in Gnome's network settings – why is that? It doesn't seem to store the profile for longer than my gnome session.
Additionally it's mandatory to enter a password for the connection, which isn't taken into account at all. When I connect to the profile, it's asking me for the password, no matter if I select "store for all users" or "store for this user".
Are these bugs, or is it supposed to work like that?
Thanks for your help.
Apparently some recent update fixed it. I plugged in today at work and it used my saved profile (:
