    04:52:C7:A8:6A:1A Bose Mini II SoundLink

The Bose box isn't showing up in the graphical tool. So I tried with root:

[root@localhost ~]# hcitool cc 04:52:C7:A8:6A:1A
[root@localhost ~]# echo $?
0
[root@localhost ~]# hcitool auth 04:52:C7:A8:6A:1A
Not connected.

I absolutely not sure whether I issued the correct commands. I have disabled SE-Linux. I don't know how to proceed. Any help very much appreciated.

Hi,

Have you tried using the "bluetoothctl" command?

There is some communication going and that's good, but Bluetooth on Linux is pretty much a hit and miss. In bluetoothctl prompt, try this: '# default-agent '# agent on '# connect <mac>

I'm having a similar issue with a weight scale using BlueZ 5.46 (Fedora 26 default). It sometimes pairs and disconnects after a few seconds.

Hi Pat,

Many thanks for your recommendations.

This connection is stable (at least it's still showing as paired being on all night).

I somewhat believe that it's now more a problem of the permissions (please see my entries above). I've added "audio" but that didn't help.
