I have Fedora 26 with bumblebee to a nvidia 610m that worked fine. Suddenly the optirun command doesn't work and just give a Permission denied message:

$ optirun glxgears
[25700.544943] [ERROR]Cannot access secondary GPU - error: [XORG] (EE) /dev/dri/card0: failed to set DRM interface version 1.4: Permission denied

[25700.544988] [ERROR]Aborting because fallback start is disabled.

I have the card with propietary drivers and worked since Fedora 22 and i don't know if the update from F25 to F26 causes the error.

when check the bumblebeed service and is active.

$ systemctl status bumblebeed.service
● bumblebeed.service - Bumblebee C Daemon
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/bumblebeed.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)
Active: active (running) since Mon 2017-09-04 08:53:32 -05; 8h ago
 Main PID: 7026 (bumblebeed)
    Tasks: 1 (limit: 4915)
   CGroup: /system.slice/bumblebeed.service
           └─7026 /usr/sbin/bumblebeed

I checked the bumblebeed installation and is fine; i don't know what to check now to resolve this.

Thanks

I solved creating `/etc/X11/xorg,conf and putting in it BusID information for my Intel GPU in Section "Device"

The information to that file is the same from /etc/bumblebee/xorg.conf.nvidia?

Thanks

You must configure your Intel GPU in etc/X11/xorg.conf

Section "ServerLayout"
    Identifier "Layout0"
EndSection

Section "Device"
    Identifier "IntelGPU"
    Driver "intel"
    VendorName "Intel Corporation"
    BusID "PCI:00:02:0"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
    Identifier "Default Screen"
    Device "IntelGPU"
EndSection

Replace BusID with the proper one for your system: run lspci for that.

I create the file with the BusID and the result is the same

# cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Section "ServerLayout"
    Identifier "Layout0"
EndSection

Section "Device"
    Identifier "IntelGPU"
    Driver "intel"
    VendorName "Intel Corporation"
    BusID "PCI:00:02:0"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
    Identifier "Default Screen"
    Device "IntelGPU"
EndSection

The lspci output gives to me:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller (rev 09)

Did you reboot? Can you paste /var/log/Xorg.0.log?

I reboot the system. Lines of the log that shows anything for the module are here https://justpaste.it/1ayf3
