That tool it's not kernel 3.1 or systemd "ready" although it could work...

Edit /usr/sbin/laptop-mode and search $KLEVEL, add the 3.1 case

case "$KLEVEL" in

   "2.4" ) ;;
   "2.6" ) ;;
   "3.1" ) ;;
           log "ERR" "Unhandled kernel version: $KLEVEL ('uname -r' = '$(uname -r)')" >&2
           exit 1

Save and do:

/etc/init.d/laptop-mode start

Hi, you should track Fedora bugzilla [1] maybe.

I also tried manually building the package but it fails :( These were my steps:

su -
yum install @development-tools wget
rpmdevtools rpmdev-setuptree wget
rpmbuild -tb

Maybe somebody has more luck with it, if you do please post how you made the package.

Other approach is to grab .rpm.src file from bugzilla [1].

su -
yum install @development-tools wget rpmdevtools
rpmbuild --rebuild laptop-mode-tools-1.61-3.fc16.src.rpm
yum localinstall /root/rpmbuild/RPMS/noarch/laptop-mode-tools-1.61-3.fc17.noarch.rpm

This works, and you have rpm package installed
