Dear Fedora,
FC26 Xfce 4.12
In /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-xxxx, do I presume correctly that PREFIX=xx is the short netmask?
And do I also presume that PREFIX has superseded NETMASK?
And can either still be used?

You should use PREFIX instead of NetworkMask changes where made by NetworkManager will suggests you to read this
