recently, i backuped my disk to backup.tar.gz then i intended to move it to a removable disk(ntfs format). the outcome is input/output error. is there any resolution about this? amount of backupfile is just 7.1G and removable disk is 1TB ntfs. hopefully, i wanna the optimistic resolution would be exist.

Can you include the command you are running and the full output messages? You have a 1TB hard drive in an external USB case? Is it mounted?

yes, it is my opinion, the 1TB removable disk can't be stored file size 4Gb more. then, i sliced into 3files from backup file, then they could be stored.but i don't know why only below 4GB files only moved to the ntfs disk...normally ntfs file size is 1Tb, isn' it?

Maybe the Linux ntfs driver can't handle files larger than 4GB. I assume you have Windows since the drive is formatted as NTFS, so try making a bigger file there and see what happens when you look at in Linux.

I suggest you to look at disk drill recovery software. Hope it helps you too.
