Hello, I have downloaded the latest Fedora 17 live CD ISO, burnt it to CD and am trying to boot from it on my PC. (my PC only has a CD drive, and no 'boot from USB option'). So, it starts to boot OK i.e. the initial screen comes up with "Fedora 17, Start Fedora 17, Troubleshooting options etc. etc. So I click 'Start Fedora', the screen goes blank, then about 10 seconds later there is thin line of coloured distortion at the top of the screen and it will not progress any further. I have tried creating different CDs with the Fedora image, also tried the 64 and 32 bit versions but to no avail.

Does anyone have any ideas ?

Thanks kindly for any help.

It sounds like a video driver issue. Maybe the LiveCD version doesn't support your graphic card.

Try with the Troubleshooting Options and try to select a basic driver/resolution.

linux driver=vesa resolution=1024x768
