I'm using Fedora 26 with the latest Gnome. I'd like to try other desktop environments, and have installed a couple. When I log out and log back in there's no option or drop-down select field enabling me to select another environment. At one point the screen blinks and for about a tenth of a second I can see what may be a select field. Do I need to edit/change something to enable a selection? Any direction would be appreciated.

On the login screen, after you have clicked on your username, before typing your password, you will have to click on the little gear wheel to make a selection of DEs.

Thank you. Your response led to my answer: during the installation I had set up the system not to require a password at login. When I enabled the password requirement, the cog showed up in the now present password panel, allowing me to select other window managers. Been with Linux/Fedora for about 6 months, so I'm a little embarrassed that this didn't dawn on me earlier.

And.. wow i3 is fast, but oh the configuring I would have to do to use it daily!
