That is the contents of my xsession errors. Not sure what the problem is. Gnome 3 is going into fallback and MATE wont even launch from the login. Its just flashes black on the screen then returns to the login screen when i try to login with the MATE session. Anybody be able to shed any light on the situation. Gnome will login with only the fallback mode.

HD7870 with the 12.10 drivers installed from AMD site.

Fallback mode often occurs because of driver issues. Since you're using ATI's drivers, Fedora might not be able to fix this. If you absolutely cannot use the drivers shipped with Fedora, please use the drivers provided by rpmfusion.org - they are properly packaged and therefore less likely to break other parts of the system.
