I've installed fedora on my laptop, which also has windows 10 installed, but I am having some issues duel-booting. When i power on my computer the grub menu loads fine, but when I select either fedora or windows, all I get is a black screen.

Strangely enough, I've managed to boot into fedora by hitting f12 and selecting HDD as boot device, which loads grub again, but it looks different (menu appears at the side of the screen instead of the centre) and seems to work fine.

I am new to Linux and duel booting and would greatly appreciate any help on this, thanks!

when you hit F12 and select the hdd to boot, does the grub menu have Windows 10 listed as an option, and does it boot if you select it? Are Fedora and Windows on the same drive, or on separate ones?

Boot Fedora and the post the output from the following:

sudo gdisk -l /dev/sdX #e.g. /dev/nvme0n1, use 'df' to find out what drive / and /boot are on
efibootmgr -v
sudo cat /boot/efi/EFI/fedora/grub.cfg | fpaste

I have had issues dual booting Fedora and Windows 10 as well. Seems like Windows 10 used a slightly different Installation System that the grub doesn't really recognize. Have you tried manually creating partitions?
