I have a Dell notebook (inspiron 5000 series) and my wifi just died. my computer still recognize it but it just wont connect to any network. I bought this wifi dongle D-Link DWA 131-Rev E1. This give a hard time to work on windows 10 (have to use drivers from win 7) on windows i can choose with wifi adapter i wanna use...

How can i make this dongle work on my fedora? Can i "kill" my wifi card how died?

I'm using the fedora 25 and did all the updates/upgrades and i'm new on linux world (thats why i still have dual boot).

Tks a lot.

does it just disconnects? does any wifi show up for you to connect? do lsusb to see if the dongle shows up.

I'm not sure but various people has the same problem with "rtl8192eu" and the current kernel; you can install the next drivers and fix it... https://github.com/lwfinger/rtlwifi_new

Maybe I can make a rpm for it in the future...
