Lately, when ripping a CD, sound juicer cannot find the track information in the MusicBrainz database. This used to work for me in years past. The information seems to be in the database when I click on "enter track information". Is there a solution for this problem?

  • Fedora 18
  • sound-juicer-3.5.0-2.fc18.i686
  • libmusicbrainz5-5.0.1-3.fc18.i686

There was a similar problem in Ubuntu, apparently it's caused by MusicBrainz discontinuing the web service that SoundJuicer uses. The solution (for Ubuntu) is to install an updated version of SoundJuicer (www.jpstacey.info/blog/2011/06/13/sound-juicer-no-longer-retrieves-track-names-when-you-extract-audio-cds), but I've not yet found a Fedora equivalent.
