I accidently mistyped the link/path intended for my javaplugin and now I cannot seem to repair the entry. Any option passed in returns the same message,

"failed to read link /usr/libbrowser-plugins/javaplugin.so: No such file or directory"

Which, of course, exposes my libbrowser err. Is there a way to correct this?

Aksed/answered: I just had to learn that the link is stored in /etc/alternatives/. Manually removing the bad link there allows me to apply the correct alternatives link.

I cannot find this file in the repos. What browser is this?

repoquery -f '*/javaplugin.so*'

gives me nothing. I can think of two solutions

  1. Correct the link. Look at your shell history, see what you mistyped
  2. Reinstall the package. Reinstall the browser etc. (Although I can't find this file!)
