So I've upgraded to F25 from 24 for a few months. But recently, I've had a problem: I noticed everytime I did "dnf update", my screen just froze. I tried to switch virtual terminal but it didn't work. How can I report this problem. I'm kind of new to Fedora and Linux so please be gentle.

Since dnf is a console application I cannot relate it with your screen freezing, I can only think of a high cpu workload. What happens if you wait long enough? You could also switch to a virtual terminal before running dnf and actually run the command from there.

Since a few weeks I have the same problem on Fedora 24. dnf freezes the entire system if it installs or updates packages. I see the message "Complete!" and then the system hangs. I don't see the shell prompt, the clock in the Gnome menu bar is not updated anymore, nothing works except moving the mouse cursor. I waited more than 15 minutes the last time before I long-pressed the power switch to turn off the laptop. Any suggestions where to start troubleshooting?

I have a strong suspicion that ownCloud client version 2.2.4 interferes here. I don't dare to discover this any further since the only way out is to power off the computer with the power switch. When I quit the ownCloud client, I can do everything with dnf no matter what packages I install or remove.

Edit: It happened again despite ownCloud was quit. dnf history info shows Return-Code success
