Compiling Songbird Media Player v2.2 - 25/Gnome

I'm trying to compile the source for Songbird Media Player v2.2 and I haven't been successful.

The folder has the following files:


What do I do with these?

if you like the songbird media player you should consider switching to nightingale...nightingale is a fork of songbird which will run by just extracting the program in a folder and then run the bin file...of yourse you can build it but on fedora 25 gives me errors (builded it one time but don't remember how) anyway they are pretty much the same so it may be worth a shot...

You must run autoconf and then the usual ./configure && make && make install

Thanks for the reply. During the build I got the following error:

hecking for hal... Package hal was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `hal.pc' to the PKGCONFIGPATH environment variable No package 'hal' found configure: error: Library requirements (hal) not met; consider adjusting the PKGCONFIGPATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them. [xxxxx@dhcppc0 Songbird2.2]$

hal is deprecated and not in fedora anymore. Please consider another media player or install nightingale as suggested by @luca247
