Where is Wayland? or gnome classic?

asked 2017-03-08 11:49:59 -0500

I upgraded from fedora24 to fedora25 and find that Grub customizer doest work, as another questioner found. The answer maybe a problem with Wayland, but I dont get offered a choice on the login screen. Why not, I wonder. How can I start with gnome classic?

GDM? Gnome?

Click on your user name, then before providing the password, click on the little gear and select a session.

You have to click the gear symbol on the login screen, there should be what you are looking for.

When i click the gear symbol at the login screen (F25, upgraded from 23) i can select:
* gnome (with no remarks, which means it uses wayland)
* gnome classic
* gnome under Xorg

(the latter 2 are non-wayland)
