Since updating to kernel version 4.9.6-200.fc25.x86_64, the Fedora logo's filling action while booting is gone and replaced with Ellipsis(...)! Since then, one more version(4.9.7-201.fc25.x86_64) has been released with the same action. My question is - how to restore the Fedora logo filling action in the newer versions of kernels?

Your video driver is what controls the graphics mode on boot, so it may need to be updated.

A version before the 4.9.6-200.fc25.x8664, i.e. 4.9.5-200.fc25.x8664 the fedora logo filling graphics was just fine. Also, since all the drivers are inbuilt/updated, one does not need to update the same separately, is it @stevebey73742?

I did post the same query at . This is what they had to say - " The upstream kernel always boots with the penguin logo. If you see anything else there, that is the change made by the distribution -- please contact the kernel maintainers with your questions " by Konstantin Ryabitsev of ( )

Your video drivers are not part of the kernel, it is up to you to keep them current.

if you think that is a kernel problem, and you want to get in touch with Fedora's kernel packagers, you could simply report a bug against kernel here.
