I have the .exe file from samsung to update the bios. I extracted it to get all the files inside that (includes a .rom file). Is there a good way to update it from fedora or usb drive. I have looked many places, but do not want to mess it up. Also, is the .rom file the only file I need from the .exe file. It is a complex bios with UEFI support. Here is a link to the bios .exe I have: SamsungSupportWebsite

Well, flashing the BIOS is always a somewhat risky procedure. Personally I would not update the BIOS without a very good reason. Assuming you have such a need ...

You are going to be far better off, IMO, it you run that .exe in Windows, or ask Samsung if they have a Linux utility.

As an alternate I personally use FreeDOS. It is a bit clunky, especially if you have no experience with DOS. It is a command line only DOS interface, you simply call the .exe

For other options, this Arch Wiki pages has some advice
