Spell checker has disappeared from Scribus - Fedora 25

I use Scribus frequently and have done so over numerous versions of Fedora. Recently (last two weeks) I have found there is no spell checker available any more.

I have been in discussion with a couple of people on Linux Questions and we all agree it must be something in Fedora which is preventing spell check from working.

To prove this, I created two VMs, one F25 and one Mint MATE. Without adding any other software, I installed Scribus onto both platforms. Sure enough, Scribus on the Fedora VM had no spell checker and on the Mint VM it did.

Scribus has the same build id on both platforms.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have found the problem: the version of Scribus 1.4.6 in the Fedora 25 repository does not include libhunspellplugin.so, although it is in 1.4.6 for F24 and in the 1.5.3 testing-only version I compiled. I am going to try copying the F24 version of this file into F25: the 1.5.3 version could not be loaded by Scribuse 1.4.6.

Now the question is "why"?

Fedora 25 Scribus 1.4.6 cannot use the libunspellplugin.so from Fedora 24 or from Scribus 1.5.3. Attempting to install the F24 Scribus 1.4.6 caused dnf to offer to delete 274 applications, so I chose not ot do that! I am left with Scribus 1.4.6 with no spell checker on Fedora 25, plus Scribus 1.5.3 with a working spell-checker. It would have saved a lot of work if the Fedora 25 compilation of Scribus 1.4.6 had included libhunspellplugin.so, but that is all water under the bridge.
