fedora 25 Desktop x64 does not start

asked 2017-01-15 13:28:20 -0500

I was trying to create the fedora 25 desktop x64 using the fedora media writer and LiveUSB creator but it is not working. After loading the GRUB menu and choosing to install fedora it goes into a black screen showing only the cursor where it got freeze. I tried the same with Ubuntu and getting the same results. I guess something has to do the hardware configuration, where I tried to boot using the EFI and legacy boot, but getting the same results (black screen). My laptop is HP Pavilion (13-a206ne) and I used Windows 10 to create the Live USB. Kindly advice

Is your network active, and what video card is in the laptop. you might have to run the troubleshoot menu in grub, and choose basic graphics. If your network is wireless only, you may need to try a wired connection, since it does download parts of the install from the net.
